Audi A4 2002 1.8 quattro turbo has timing belt or serpentine Belt ?? or both?

I went to audi for a review in my car and they sad that i have to change the timing belt. Than when i talked to another mecanic they say serpentine belt....so now i am not sure with one my car has. because both give diferent price for change.

you have both I have a 98.5 A4 and be warned if your timing belt breaks it will cost about 3k to fix because of bent valves and so much damage occurs to this engine. Audi extended the warranty on this so I would go to an Audi dealer and find out about that and get it fixed ASAP. Its not an easy job however as they have to remove the front bumper.

Both. you need to have the timing belt and timing belt tesioners/harwear changed every 60K miles or so. the serpintine belt can be replaced when you see wear on it. you must change the timing belt on these car it will cost you if you dont.
it has both one you can see with the hood up the other you have to do some disassembly to see the timing belt turns the cams the serpentine belt turns the accessories i.e. alternator, power steering pump
