I'm going to change my serpentine belts on my car...?

Should I do this when the old belts are warm, cold or does it not matter? (2003 Dodge Intrepid)

It doesn't matter, but a hot engine may burn your hands. Above all, make a diagram yourself (no matter how long it takes) of the way the belt is threaded around the tensioner and pulleys. You'll be sorry if you don't. Some engines require you to get under the crankshaft pulley to thread the new belt into place. Then you'll need to raise the front of the car using Rhino ramps and safety jack stands, so you might want to have a repair shop change the belt if you need to drive the car every day.
